Things You Will Need:

A number of chairs depending on your requirement, 1.5-metre fabric for each chair and 1-metre ribbon for each chair.

Pick a colour that’ll go with the theme of your function. Find a fabric which is not too expensive, since you won’t be able to reuse it. Get the fabric cut in 1.5-metre pieces. Then, with a tweezer, take out tassels on both ends of your dupatta. Tie the dupatta and the ribbon at the back of the chair and decorate with a ribbon knot at the back.

Cost:

Suppose, if you have 20 chairs and you buy a fabric that costs you around Rs 80 per metre and ribbon that costs you around Rs 20 per metre, this dupatta decoration idea will come out to be around Rs 2000, overall.

Find a wall which you want to convert into a backdrop. Nail the bed sheet on the wall, on all four corners. Now put a nail in the top middle of your bed sheet. Get all your dupattas and tie them together at one end. Tie the end on the middle nail and secure it with the thread. Take the ends of 5 dupattas on your left and the other 5 on your right. Arrange and nail them in descending order from top to bottom. Place the umbrellas on the ground, right next to the wall to complete the decor.

You may even ask your wedding decoration people to hang them up outside on a tree.

A regular chiffon dupatta will cost you around Rs 250-300. You can use an old bedsheet since it won’t be visible. In total, you will achieve this dupatta decoration idea in under Rs 3000.
