There is no one single perfect photo shoot when it comes to a bridal shoot and sky is the limit when it comes to creativity, so we spoke to some brides-to-be what their idea of the best bridal shoot was and had some really great inputs. Read on and maybe you too will find your calling with one of these brilliant bridal shoots.

1. Lights will guide you home

There is something about yellow lights that really makes your face aglow and eyes glimmer like nothing other. Even while going for a night out, one always looks for these gazing bright lights to get the perfect shot. So when this newly engaged bride-to-be said she just wanted pre-wedding photos at one of her night events before the guests arrive, her makeup and hair are freshly done to make the most of it. And we love the end result.

While drawing the focus away from only the bridal portraits before the wedding, she said she wanted pictures at another event, after all, so much effort would go into planning the look and makeup. She emphasised that she'd always loved those pictures and even Diwali-inspired pictures revolving around diyas and would love something like that to make the most of everything!

2. Because girlfriends are for life

Hitched & Clicked

For this summer bride, the one idea of a bridal shoot that truly excited her was getting a shoot with her girlfriends. Ranging from friends from her childhood to her office colleagues, all of them were so important for her and have been so especially on this journey from singlehood to marriage. It's a big step and friends make it easier every step along the way! So what better bridal shoot than to a tribute to all those friends, she said.

You could always choose a common colour or outfit (for ideas explore this piece we've done on matching Indian bridesmaids' dresses) while the bride adorns a different colour to make it more fun! You can also drop clues to your favourite pastime together, be it watching horror movies in your PJs or even hitting the club with a few glasses of wine, these props will make the pictures more intimate.

3. The classic bridal shoot

The Lightsmiths

The one bridal shoot idea we can never get enough is the shoot while getting ready for the big fat Indian wedding and this bride has her heart set on this idea. In fact, she has already booked her photographer and discussed poses to keep in mind for the grand day. From the Ghoonghat to wearing the footwear to even the classic back picture of the entire set up, there are so many intricate details for the big get up and the emotions within the bride are just waiting to be captured!

The happiness, jitters, nervousness laced with excitement, the whole flood of overwhelming emotions just add an extra dimension to the picture making each bride's bridal shoot unique despite clinging to the same idea. Right after the makeup and before the Baraat finally arrives, is the perfect time to sneak in a few shots of a bridal portrait.

4. All about the memories

In total contrast to almost all the brides-to-be we spoke to, this bride undeniably stood out and we understood her demands almost immediately. As she plans a winter wedding for 2019, she explicitly said she didn't want an exclusive bridal shoot but instead wanted her micro-moments of emotions to be captured in its raw beauty.

She said it was all about these moments that make the memories, as one will always remember the emotions they felt not the million other irrelevant details which seem so important now. Even though we are a big fan of bridal shoots, we get this bride and the idea behind it. She didn't deny solo pictures but instead denied a shoot dedicated solely to ONLY her where she'd have to put a lot of thoughts and discomfort into striking a pose!

All of these brides while drawing inspiration from their own comfort and other real weddings have given us the list of perfect bridal shoots. Each distinct from the other while focusing on the bride to bring out the best of her bridal moment. Between the best of locations, the sparkling outfits, perfect ambience and stunning makeup, as a bride you are destined to get the perfect bridal shoot, just make sure you are comfortable with your photographer and have discussed your ideas well in advance so that they can deliver on your expectations!
